Why is it okay?




I am not a politician. In fact, I hate politics. But I do see situations where we need to make changes. America is a great country, but we have our faults.

Freedom. This nation was started so we could have freedom.

The Declaration of Independence says "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."


In America we want to preserve our freedom, we are proud of it. But does that mean that we should give a murderer the option to kill a person legally, or not? Or if we already know that this murderer wants to kill a person, stop him and arrest him? Or at least protect the person the murderer is trying to kill? Why then, do we say that abortion: the killing of unborn children, is a legal choice for someone to make? We have "certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." LIFE. Then why is it legal to take life: murder babies? Babies that would've grown up to be people like you and I?

Some people say it doesn't apply to these unborn children because we don't know when life starts. But we do know that these unborn babies become life and turn into everyday people.

Say there was a law that said it is illegal to kill frogs. Just say. Would killing a tadpole be wrong? It is not a frog yet. It's just a tadpole. But it becomes a frog, so yes, it would be killing a frog, and therefore (in our example) illegal.

And if it is illegal to "disturb the eggs or nests of geese" and kill adult geese, then why is it okay to kill human life? Why is it illegal to destroy or kill the eggs? Because those eggs will crack open one day and turn into geese, which are illegal to kill.

So why, I ask, have we convinced ourselves that taking human life is okay? We are GUARANTEED the rights of LIFE in the Declaration of Independence.

So why is abortion legal?
To God be the glory.

9/11: On The Tenth Anniversary


The events of 9/11 were catastrophic. Thousands of lives had been lost and many have stories to tell relating to 9/11. The terrorist's knocked down one of America's strong points, they took away the lives of American citizens. But we are still "One Nation Under God" and God, is the one thing nobody, anywhere, can take away from us.



I can't help but think about what God thinks about 9/11? God is a God who hates sin. And killing thousands of people is a sin. But Jesus bore our sins. God couldn't look at His son, Jesus, because he had the sins of the world on his shoulders. He had the sin of the terrorist attack on 9/11 on His shoulders and along with my sins, too. And He died to set the whole world free, terrorist or not.




So today, on the tenth anniversary of 9/11, I challenge you to remember that we can cling to the one thing that can never be taken away from us: Our God. A loving God who sent his Son, Jesus, to die for the sins of the world, knowing the cost. And then God raised Him three days later conquering the grave! Jesus conquered death so we might see Him and our loved ones again, in a perfect place without sin.
