9/11: On The Tenth Anniversary

The events of 9/11 were catastrophic. Thousands of lives had been lost and many have stories to tell relating to 9/11. The terrorist's knocked down one of America's strong points, they took away the lives of American citizens. But we are still "One Nation Under God" and God, is the one thing nobody, anywhere, can take away from us.

I can't help but think about what God thinks about 9/11? God is a God who hates sin. And killing thousands of people is a sin. But Jesus bore our sins. God couldn't look at His son, Jesus, because he had the sins of the world on his shoulders. He had the sin of the terrorist attack on 9/11 on His shoulders and along with my sins, too. And He died to set the whole world free, terrorist or not.

So today, on the tenth anniversary of 9/11, I challenge you to remember that we can cling to the one thing that can never be taken away from us: Our God. A loving God who sent his Son, Jesus, to die for the sins of the world, knowing the cost. And then God raised Him three days later conquering the grave! Jesus conquered death so we might see Him and our loved ones again, in a perfect place without sin.
God Bless America.
To God alone be the glory.
